A severe thunderstorm slammed eastern Colorado Monday afternoon, bringing large hail to numerous counties. According to the National Weather Service office in Dodge City, baseball sized hail added up to six inches on the ground in Lane County. The below video shows the rivers of hail that were seen in the streets of Alameda, CO after a thunderstorm dropped heavy rain and small hail.

As seen on this satellite image with annotations by the National Weather Service office in Boulder, you can see the slight white tint to the ground. That tint highlights the areas that experienced accumulating hail.

What’s even cooler is this view of those hail streaks from the airplane at 12,000 feet above the ground. This photo was captured south of Parker, CO on a flight inbound to Denver.
